Members 1st Headquarters Ribbon Cutting

Greenfield Architects was honored to be selected as the lead designer and attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new corporate headquarters building for Members 1st and to be part of their important celebration. In 2018, Greenfield Architects began the Programming phase when Member's 1st, headquartered in the Rossmoyne Business Center since 1997, chose to combine its multiple building locations and design a single headquarters building consolidating all employees into one location. 

Following the completion of programming, and with significant employee engagement and feedback, the building area was defined. The new corporate headquarters building, with a total floor area of 181,828 SF, includes a basement with 9,752 SF for secure records storage and mechanical equipment, 59,255 SF of office and support space on the first floor, 58,227 SF of office and support space on the second floor, and 54,594 SF of office and support space on the third floor, all of which were designed for future flexibility. 

After completing Programming and Schematic design, Greenfield Architects, along with their consultants, began completing the design and construction document drawings. The client chose Mowery Construction to be their General Contractor. The design team collaborated with the contractor to construct the new corporate headquarters facility that will provide excellent work space for their employees and serve the needs of their members with accommodations for future growth and expansion. 

The project program includes Record Storage, Secure Data Storage and IT infrastructure, Boiler Room, Electrical Room, Water Sprinkler Room, Safe Room, Copy/Print Rooms, multiple-sized Conference Rooms, Men's and Women's Public Restrooms, Mothers Rooms, Large Training Rooms, Large Cafe with Avenue C vending, three-story Atrium, Large Community Room, Mail and Supply Rooms, Facilities Warehouse with dock and grade access doors, IT Warehouse, Wellness and Exercise Center with Restrooms and Locker Rooms, Customer Service Training Rooms, Support Spaces, Executive Offices, Management Offices, Open Office areas with cubicles and large windows for natural light deep into all work areas, Board Room, Hotel Conference Rooms for transient staff, and an open outdoor roof deck with views of the north mountain.
