Armstrong Flooring wanted to relocate their corporate headquarters, which included the conversion of two (2) existing commercial office buildings into new corporate headquarters, featuring an open-concept collaborative office space, design showroom, and technical center to accommodate over 250 corporate office employees.

The Armstrong Flooring International (AFI) Headquarters was designed to be a pedestrian connected campus between two existing buildings combined to total approx. 30,000 s.f. The main entrances to the buildings are connected by a pedestrian walking path that is flanked on both sides by outdoor eating areas, gardens, an outdoor gas fireplace for corporate gatherings, and a brick paved walkway that cut across the drive aisle in the parking lot via a raised traffic table.
The two building corporate headquarters includes a beautiful, modern 4,300 s.f. showroom with a bar and kitchenette and ample space for the tenant, AFI, to showcase their products and have a great starting place for tours. Directly adjacent to this is the 3,800 s.f. Multi-purpose room which includes a 108 seat conference / meeting space. There are several private offices and multiple small conference rooms along with the 228 hotel style open office work spaces. The other features of the spaces included R&D, printing and layout spaces Cafes, phone booth style private rooms, and large collaborative huddle spaces and meeting rooms for breakout meetings.
